Assistant Localisation Manager

This UK Games Industry hosehold name is looking for an Assistant Localisation Manager to join the team.
Your duties would include: Allocate & monitor translation, terminology & localisation resources for allocated projects. Maintain resource flexibility to match fluctuating workloads. To champion the localisation needs of the product. Manage the production of product localisation kits. To manage the localisation issues coming from QA and proactively address these at a process level. Creation of localisation kits for East European localisation Planning Develop, and agree localisation plans on a product-by-product basis with the producers of the product as well as localisation manager and then manage that plan to success. Plan the localisation considerations into the development of products. Track the dependencies on these localisation plans to ensure successful localisation. Scheduling of age rating submissions in accordance to overall project and submission schedule for allocated projects Data Reporting To produce appropriate management reports detailing project progress, risks and issues of allocated projects Administration PO raising for external vendors and age rating bodies Checking vendors’ invoices at month’s end Essential Requirements Good standard of education ideally to GSCE level to include Mathematics and English Proven industry experience, and commercial knowledge Knowledge of Localisation procedures and systems Project management experience Good general PC skills Role Expertise Excellent all round language knowledge Must have knowledge of problem solving, analysis and decision making Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to organize self and others Able to manage time effectively Excellent motivation of self and others Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines Ability to manage the demands of numerous people and tasks Team Player Pro-active, tenacious and enthusiastic Willing to undertake further training to meet the demands of the role Desirable Degree qualified graduate Qualification in languages Games localisation experience a plus Degree qualified graduate Italian or Spanish native with degree in translation Willing to work extra hours as and when required If this sounds like the role for you.
