Our Client is a rapidly expanding video games publisher and developer within the western market, and is the European arm of a world leader in the provision of interactive entertainment both inside and outside the home.
Our client develops, publishes and distributes interactive entertainment software products for a variety of hardware platforms such as Xbox 360, PlayStation platforms, Nintendo platforms, PC and wireless devices.
Position Overview:
The focus of this role is to manage and develop present QA output whilst implementing new systems and procedures in order to improve Development Service processes. This includes (but is not exclusive to) managing the project escalation system, forward planning on resource needs for the department as a whole (for onsite and offsite needs) and coordination of the recruitment and selection process. This position also provides a resource of experience for the benefit of all QA members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- In-depth knowledge of other hardware and software applications
- Educated to Degree standard (2.2 or greater), preferably in an IT-related field
- Pro-activeness to think ahead and identify tasks that need to be carried out and the motivation to complete these on own initiative
- Ability to plan and carry out work when regularly unsupervised
- Confident and professional in dealing with senior members of the company
