Our client based in Mallorca, Spain was founded in 2003 with just nine members. Today however, the team has grown to include almost forty full-time staff consisting of designers, programmers and artists. With years of industry experience behind them, as well as having successfully shipped world-class games for such companies as Ubisoft, Eidos and Pyro, this company is keen to maintain its successes for the years to come. Plans for 2008 an onwards include highly anticipated projects for Nintendo DS and Wii.

Previous experience - 4+ years of game development experience - leading and managing a medium/large team is essential as is a successful track record in game development.

- Must be passionate, motivated, rigorous and autonomous, eager and open to others, work effectively in a collaborative team environment with good team spirit and excellent relational and organizational skills.
- Allocation of programmers across project.
- Monitoring overall project programming requirements.
- Mentoring of Programmers, giving technical guidance.
- Work with Project Manager on risk planning and mitigation, ensuring that technical issues on projects are resolved.
- Implementing programming solutions to the most challenging problems on project.
- Point of contact for external technical dealings including outsourcing.
- Dealing with any other technical issues related to the project.
- Proven man management skills.
- Wide experience of many aspects of game development.
- Ability and experience to lead and manage a team of programmers across multiple disciplines (gameplay, networking, AI, ...).
- C++ programming expert.
- Experience programming some of these consoles/machines: X360/PS3/PC
- Passion for computer games.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience of planning large projects.
- Experience shipping commercial games, good knowledge of TRCs/TCRs.
- Be able to deliver to deadlines to meet key milestones.
- Proven ability to self motivate, organize and time manage.
- Ability to do recruitment new staff
Desirable skills:
- Experience using agile methodology Scrum or similar.
- Experience of shader programming.
- Experience of network programming.
- Experience of multi processor programming.
- Strong math skills.
- Experience of automated build systems, for instance the continuous integration system Cruise Control.
- Experience of automated testing systems.
- Experience using ‘make’ scripts or similar, perhaps having cygwin skills.
- Experience of being Lead Programmer on at least 2 console games.
- Spanish language.
