My client is a UK-based videogames developer formed by experienced industry veterans in 2005. The aim is to establish the company as a major development force and preferred development partner, their mission is to guarantee the highest quality products, delivered on time and to budget. Following the success of its TV Plug & Play games development, they are now focused on the handheld console market and digitally-delivered content, in particular the Sony PlayStation® Portable (PSP), Nintendo® DS and Xbox Live® Arcade. They have also converted their proprietary cross platform engine to PSP and Xbox 360, and have successfully delivered a PSP project for a major UK based publisher.

We are looking for an experienced network engineer to work on PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP titles at our London studio. An ideal candidate will have worked on game-side network architecture for at least one published console or PC game.

Qualifications:

- Experience of game-side network code such as addressing latency \ lag, client-side prediction \ correction issues.
- Current object replication techniques.
- Experience of UDP \ TCP IP protocols.
- A high standard of C/C++ programming (at least 3 years commercial experience)
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
- Experience in working with multi-processor architecture \ distributed computing.

The following attributes would be an advantage:

- Knowledge of low-level assembler programming.
