We are managing Sony Computer Entertainment's development recruitment in the UK. This games studio in the North of England has been producing world class games for a decade, is well funded and offers a great career structure. In 2008 Liverpool will be the European culture capital and SCEE's fabulously revamped studio reflects this.
They need two Graphics Programmers to maintain and implement high-performance, cutting edge rendering tools and technologies in support of the studios game projects.
The following skills are required:
- Demonstrable knowledge of contemporary computer graphics methods: shader language (Cg or equivalent); shadow techniques; animation; graphic pipelines; vertex representations; etc.
- Good current graphics programming skills (PS3/360, DirectX, OpenGL, Cg/HLSL).
- Good 3d Mathematics knowledge.
- Working knowledge of SIMD from an optimization perspective would be advantageous (PS2 VU, SPU or x86 MMX/SSE assembly/intrinsic experience).
- Knowledge of multithreaded code design.
- At least two published titles (or equivalent experience in the games industry or relevant field).
