European Product Marketing Manager

My client is among the fastest growing video game publishers in the world, developing products for all viable current and next-gen game and high performance personal computers as well as wireless devices. They currently have more than 70 products in development across the action, racing, puzzle, wrestling, kids, action-adventure and platform game genres.

Role Overview Reporting to the European Marketing Manager, the Product Manager will work closely with the Product Marketing team based in the U.S as well as the local territory marketing teams. As the ambassador for allocated titles, the European Product Manager will champion their titles internally, and take the day-to-day lead in driving effective product marketing campaigns with each local office. You are the ‘owner’ of your allocated titles in Europe. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the European Marketing Manager Researching, defining and driving marketing objectives, strategy and activity to deliver successful product launches and brand management in local markets. Maintain excellent relationships with all relevant licensors and licensees. Providing unit, revenue and spend forecasts. Continuous communication with the Product Marketing team based in the U.S Managing the central European budget for allocated titles. Work closley with the European PR team Working closely with first and third parties as well as first and third parties relating to titles within their group. Work closely with the Asia Pacific Marketing and PR teams Key Competencies Solid product management experience gained either in the video-games industry or working with major entertainment brands. You possess a genuine passion for the kids / family market. Product marketing experience must include determining positioning and targeting, managing the creative process, handling approvals, writing and delivering written briefs, media planning/buying across all sectors, building promotional campaigns as well as planning and executing effective trade marketing. Budgetary management experience. A comprehensive understanding of and ideally hands on experience of PR. Marketing Qualification (CIM) is desirable. Technically literate and excellent presentation skills. Proven relationship-building ability is also essential as well as experience of dealing with the cultural complexities across the different International territories. Flexibility to travel regularly and extensively across the European territories and to the US, and potentially to Asia Pacific Additional languages would be an advantage but not essential.
