My client is proud to be the world's leading supplier of video games. They are both a publisher of legendary games and also the creators of two of the most popular consoles available today. Their success is based on creative ideas for games and a highly motivated team on an international level.
They are currently looking to recruit a new Territory Developer to work in their European Distributor Business team in Frankfurt Germany who can enhance and compliment their existing team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of European Distributor Business.
The EDB department is tasked to manage, to service & to drive business forward towards its’ maximum potential in each of the territories within Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), in countries where NoE is handling the companies product distribution through independent companies. Together with our distribution partners, the department promotes the latest entertainment systems; along with a full range of software and accessories to a diverse base of customers and consumers.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Identify the maximum potential in the existing distribution territories and successfully expand Nintendo business/presence there (increase sales, profitability & market share)
- Proactively investigate, research potential new markets within the EMEA, and develop a business plan for expansion, and select, if appropriate new business partners
- Manage business relationships with distribution companies, at senior management level, and understand the needs and requirement for each partner and their respective markets. Liaise with internal departments to ensure, where possible, that these needs are met.
- Manage, negotiate and make adjustments, if necessary, on all distribution contracts during roll-overs and other contractual transition periods.
- Construct forecasts (yearly, monthly, and weekly) depending on the needs of the Management’s business requirements, and make proposals of annual budgets in line with targets and business expectations
- In conjunction with the Head of European Distributor Business, approve and recommend allocations of products in short supply across distributor markets, where necessary
- Monitor operational compliance with all local regulation and legal requirements (i.e. EU competition law, age rating, etc.)
The successful candidate will have solid financial and analytical skills and have a high knowledge of Excel/Cube. They will have a sold background in business development and Retailers environment. They will be flexible and a fast learner with a well-structured and responsible approach to work. They must have good communication and written skills in English and preferably a basic knowledge of French and Spanish (but this is not mandatory). They will however be a skilled negotiator as well as a confident and articulate presenter.
